Aaron was an anonymous sperm donor in 1994, long before DNA and the internet created a world where kids could connect with other donor siblings and donors could make themselves available to be found.
He is a writer, communications specialist and executive assistant for a non-profit in Seattle. He lives with and has taken care of his mother Mary who suffers from Alzheimer’s since 2011. He has played trombone, musical saw, xylophone and other instruments in a number of quirky bands and as accompaniment to shows made by his puppeteer friends. A lover of games, he was an expert rated tournament Scrabble tournament and for several years earned his living by playing internet poker. He plays a lot of Ultimate Frisbee.
“One of my greatest joys in life has always been maintaining longterm friendships and connecting the disparate parts of my life. Finding and meeting my DNA family has opened up a new world of love and friendship that I never imagined. Also, it’s just crazy cool, like I’m living a science fiction movie or maybe a science experiment.”
